Nerd talk.

I still think Netter's book is the best! You know how I always dream to be just like him? Draw some stuff to make people learning curve smooth, and the most important thing is that his drawings make people understand the structures of human's body.  So when you go on reading textbook, say, the uterus, if you can't imagine how the uterus is attached, or how the uterus is supported, or where the heck is the uterus located specifically, you can just flip through Netter and visualise the drawn uterus and relate it with your uterus, if you have one that is. See? I still think a textbook with less diagrams suck.

Anyway, I read this at the OT department last week and it stuck to my heart forever.

'everything happens for a reason. Learn it, love it, live it'

You know how thoughtful the nurses are? They write all the word of wisdom every single day just to make doctors feel alive again. I guess doctors should just stop barking at nurses everytime they feel like nurses screwing their jobs coz hey, nobody's perfect remember?

New love for pharmacology.

Ssshhh. I have found a new hobby which is reading this new book I just purchased this evening. I might have to lug around that less than 1 kg book at my back everywhere, accompany me while I enjoy my food, or even be read during my auto ride from house to hospital and back.

It's my new edition Tripathi's pharmacological drugs compilation!

Yes, I have found my new love for book right there.

P.s : a beautiful lie is perfect for the occasion, suit the obligation as a full time student.

What am I saying?!

Broken string

For me, hot bath makes me calm. It feels like all the hullabaloo, the drama, the stress, get washed out with every droplet of water. I'm just saying. Probably you would think I am some kind of weirdo, suddenly came up with this kinda stuff, but hey, deep down, you know you have that weirdness installed in your mind somehow too, am I right? Well, truth to tell, I am quite delicate now, planning to elope from this place and be with my family because my family is what I need the most right now. I know, it's already been like the fourth year of my staying here, but really, a daughter just gotta be a daughter right? Missing home every now and then is the everyday routine, matter-of-fact.
My nephews have grown up so fast it's hard for me to keep track. I mean seriously. Last time I checked, Haikal was still cooing and now he already knows how to say simple words! He cannot stop eating, that I'm perfectly sure! On the other hand, Danial is now a very clever boy, overachiever, a fast learner, a I-want-to-know-everything and a oh-I-can-handle-myself-don't-you-worry kid! He has attained the period of no-pampers-because-I-know-that-wearing-pampers-for-too-long-can-cause-me-tinea-infection-and-I-wouldn't-want-that-would-I and that makes everyone so proud! I wanna go back home, have I made myself clear yet?

A week ends with a week-end.

I find it hard to juggle between reading textbooks and getting self absorbed with novels. Seriously, if I pick a non medical book to let my time passes by, it would be a light read, you know what I mean? I don't have to cram my head with all the term and definition and all. I would be very happy except that I would definitely feel guilty since I am a student after all. Can I just read both at once?

Well OK. Nerd-ness aside, I tried to bake meringues last two days and they didn't turn out well! See? It's not like I can get it right all the time. In this case, my oven didn't cooperate with me well enough that it transmitted higher temperature than what was shown on the screen, or so I thought. They burnt regardless how much time I had reduced or how much temperature had I deducted when I first smelled the burnt odour. To make you amused by my epic failure, I literally cried after I saw all those blackened sweet shaped meringues. Yes. I was that fragile I put my friend in awe.

I guess a long time of no writing makes me rusty. I can't come out with great ideas on what to write so I just made do with all the same old same old story about me baking and baking anddddddd baking. See? I should probably go find another word used for 'baking ' by now.

Say what?

'..it's crass to plaster your good deeds up on a billboard. Something to be said for doing it quietly, with dignity. There's more to kindness than signing checks in public.'

You know what I like about post exam rehab? Is that I can do whatever I want with no worries-except maybe later when the results are out-but the point is, I can sleep happily, do whatever I want to do. And you know my plans for this 4 days holiday?

1. Shop! - this I have completed it extremely well, if I say so myself. I spent about Rs 10000 buying stuffs, like converse shoes (yay!), Clark's shoes and some other within one day. I'm a bravado.
2. Read novels- a little me time. I plan to finish Sylvia Plath, Mitch Albom and Khaled Hosseini within 4days, which I doubt because I often slept off after a few pages.
3. Make lots of cakes! -I've managed to bake apple almond cake with roses icing and mac-cookies (the aftermath of over mixing macaron batter)
4. Have enough rest.
5. Eat well, preferably homemade.
